Breathtaking journey to the Top of the World

“Amazing experience, breath taking views ” is what you will be saying after you come back from LADAKH… But the journey itself is not an easy one. You will be wishing some days “why I came for the journey”. You will be tired and your body will give up with the amount of travelling you will be doing. But My Dear Friends, the journey and the hardship is worth every bit when you reach on top of the world at 13000ft .. “LADAKH”
Lets talk about the preparation :
Plan out the journey and decide where you intend to go in ladakh, Best time  to visit is from April to September.
Make sure you plan your trip for minimum 10 days if you travel by road to explore the beauty of LADAKH.
Once u chart out the course, its time to prepare yourself for the journey
Cut down on ur smoking and drinking as it will help u survive in the harsh conditions of LADAKH.

Now the travel:
Book ur tickets well in advance whether u are taking the manali route or Srinagar route.
You can even directly fly to Leh, but travelling by road is an experience altogether.
book a Volvo from delhi to manali as it’s the most comfortable.
Ways to reach Leh:
From Manali - Once u reach manali u can either rent a bike, cab or use share taxi .
Its recommended to start early morning from Manali,  if u intend to take a halt or  go directly to Leh. The best advise is to halt for the night in Keylong, zingzingbar or Sarchu to get acclimatize with the weather (lack of oxygen).
After the halt u can start ur journey early morning and reach leh the same day.
Manali Route taxi rates :
Manali to Leh private taxi is 14000 Rs for a 2 day trip and 12000 Rs for a 1 day trip.
Bike Rates from Manali to Leh and within Leh :
Bullet Lightning 500 – 1500/-  per day
Bullet Lightning 300 – 1200/-  per day
Bajaj Pulsar – 900/-  per day
Mountain Bikes(within Leh) – 900/-  per day

From Srinagar --  once u reach Srinagar, either rent a cab or use share taxi . this route is preferred if u want to acclimatize

Taxi Rates:  Srinagar Route
Jammu to Srinagar share taxi  - 700/- to 800/- per head
Srinagar to Leh share taxi –
Front seat – 2500/-
Middle seat – 2200/-
Back seat – 1900/-
Srinagar to Leh private taxi is 14000 Rs.
However we recommend the manali route as it is more adventures  and beautiful and also will help u to get accustomed with the climate but if u suffer from high attitude sickness we recommend the Srinagar route.
While at Leh, the best place to stay is in changspa, as it is well connected to the leh market and a lot of shops and eateries around.
